The Bridge Builders ministry exists to help people in need and to bring people together to share in using their God given gifts and abilities in service to others. There are many needs throughout our communities and the needs that the Bridge Builders have been called to fill is that of providing services in projects and activities and to establish relationships with the people in the communities in which we find ourselves placed by the Lord.
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
James 2:14-17, 26
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead....
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Many people are facing legitimate needs that they are unable to provide solutions to on their own and for which there is little or no public assistance available. The types of people and the types of needs that we see are as diverse as a person confined to a wheelchair that needs a ramp to have access to their home, to young children in Honduras or Mexico who are trapped in poverty and face little real opportunity for education and healthcare beyond that which followers of Christ feel called to provide. We have sent teams to situations such as the Hurricane Katrina crisis with our volunteers patching damaged roofs and reaching out to those in need with the love of Christ or to inner city outreach opportunities to serve.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet the needs of folks in the community that need our assistance. All proceeds go directly to project costs as all labor is volunteer and therefore unpaid.
Our 501c3 IRS application is submitted and awaiting approval so donations are not tax deductible at the current time. Tax deductible donations can be made through the Albion Assembly of God Church and simply indicating on the memo line that the donation is intended for the Bridge Builders Ministry.
As the ministry accepts projects throughout NW Pennsylvania and beyond as the Lord enables, we need the help of volunteers to fulfill our mission and serve our clients.
